Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Cor. 15:58

day 214: For the Ladies...

2 Kings 22:14
So Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam, Acbor, Shaphan, and Asiah went to the New Quarter of Jerusalem to consult with the prophet Huldah. She was the wife of Shallum son of Tikvah, son of Harhas, the keeper of the Temple wardrobe.

******************

Sometimes (I seem to start a lot of sentences with that word), women think they can't do a lot for God because 'they are women'.

I say if you look through the Bible, you can find lots of women God used for His glory: Huldah, Miriam, Deborah, Mary, etc.

In fact, it was women who first told the men that Jesus had risen.

Women, *you* are important to God. Don't ever think you can't do things for God because your female.

My 6 year old daughter told me that when she grows up she wants to be: a ballet dancer, a police officer, and a preacher. I think those are fine goals :)

God Bless You

  1. It's interesting as I read the Bible that I see more and more how useful women are! Like those midwives in Exodus who saved loads of babies' lives and God blessed them for it. I love how your blog is so short - you'll have to give me some lessons in writing short posts lol!

  3. Without the women men wouldn't be here. :-) Seriously, there are many women mentioned in the Bible. Fine goals, indeed.
