Psalm 119:8
I will obey your decrees.
Please don't give up on me!

That is such a sad sentence.
Most people think that Psalm 119 was written by Ezra. It's too long to post right now, but I think we will probably have a few days of highlights.
In the sentences before this one, the psalmist is saying how much he is trying to keep God's commandments, and wants his actions to 'constantly reflect your decrees' (Ps 119:5)
But his last thought on that particular section is "PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP ON ME!"
I read that this morning (this isn't what I planned on writing on) and it hit me so sadly. Basically, he's saying, "I'm trying my best, please don't give up on me for my faults."
Everyone has faults....
And God knows that.
Guess what?
God knows your faults.
And he hadn't given up on you (even if you think he has)
Don't think he has because that's the Devil talking.
God won't give up on you. He will be with you until you die (and if you are saved much, much longer after that).
You might have no idea why God is doing what he's doing in your life right now, but (like Joseph) he's putting you where you need to be when you need to be there.
He hasn't given up on you.... don't give up on Him.

This was a great post Kelly! Many verses in Ps. 119 are ingrained in my memory; however I don't remember this point. Really needed for me, as only the first week of new year & really don't have my disciplines all in order. So glad you mentioned your blog; as I had seen it before, but I hadn't subscribed to it. I look forward to the nourishment from your words!
