Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Cor. 15:58

day 198: Serve with Gladness

Psalm 100

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!

For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfullness to all generations.

*************

I'm going to be honest with you.... this one has hit me so hard tonight, it's hard to write about.

Especially this part....

Serve the Lord with Gladness!

You may be doing everything God has told you to do... down to the letter.  You may be at church every time it's open and do everything you hear God telling you to do.

But are you happy about it?

Do you serve God because you have to or because you want too?  Are you Happy about it or do it out of Obligation?

God wants you to be happy about the things he asks you to do. It should be an honor, not a burden.

God Bless You,

Kelly

  2. Serving God should be our joy, not our burden. That's hard sometimes, isn't it? How many times have I said I "had" to do something, rather than saying I "get" to do it.

    Love this encouragement, Kelly!
