Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Cor. 15:58

Day 275: The Jersey Shore

Proverbs 12:16
A fool is quick-tempered,
but a wise person stays calm when insulted.

****************

Can you imagine what would happen if those people on the 'Jersey Shore' stayed calm when they were insulted (or thought they were insulted)?

My guess is there wouldn't be a show. Who wants to watch a show where people actually deal with their problems like adults and not hit each other? Hmmmmm......

No one... NO ONE... likes to be insulted or picked on. It is so easy to let your temper flair and just go off on them.

But that's not the wisest thing to do. Does that mean you have to hold it in forever? No. You need an outlet to get your angry feelings out: a punching bag, a stressball, writing, something-- just as long as it isn't someone's face you are whacking.

Nothing can get you in trouble quicker than a quick temper. That's something I really need to work on.

God Bless You,

Kelly
