Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Cor. 15:58

I WIll Be With You (Day 17/365)

Day 17: Exodus 1-3

Main People:
Moses, New Pharaoh, Moses’ family

Key Points:
*This happened many years after everyone in Genesis had died. No one remembered Joseph or the wonderful things he did for the country.

*The Egyptians were scared of the Hebrews because they were getting so big. They decided to turn them into slaves.

*God blessed the midwives who refused to kill the boy babies.

*Of course, there is the story of Moses in the basket. It must have been so hard for his mama to give him to the Pharaoh’s daughter to rise.

*Moses killed an Egyptian for being too cruel to a Hebrew, and was seen. He ran to Midian and married a woman named Zipporah.

*Things were going well for Moses, until a bush started talking to him… then his life changed forever.

Verses that Jumped Out at Me:
ONE verse stuck out more than any of them
3:12—I WILL BE WITH YOU

How many times do we need to hear that verse? I know I need to hear it a lot! I forget, sometimes, that God is with me: in every decision, task, hardship, joy. He’s there. We don’t need to take that for granted. If God is telling you to do something beyond what you think are your capabilities, He’s not. He’ll be right with you—and He’s God—He can do anything.

Question:
To what tribe did Moses belong?
