Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Cor. 15:58

I Haven't Forgotten...

I figured I should post... actually I should have posted Saturday... and Sunday... and Monday... and Tuesday... and oh yeah, tonight. I'm so behind on the bible in the year thing it's pitiful.

I don't have any excuse, really. No one is sick. Everything is going great at home. The husband and I are getting along. Kids are going great. I've been writing on the books a lot and getting ready for a blog book tour the first week of March.

So, why can't I seem to find the 'spunk' to write these daily posts... or more over... why not even read the Bible like I'm supposed to be doing (did I mention I haven't even been doing that?... ugh)?

I have on idea, to be honest.

I bought a journal and I've been working on that. It's about how each day is your best day. I got to thinking that maybe I should focus more on getting myself 'better' before I tried to write about things for you guys.

I don't know...

I've missed 5 days-- 10 chapters-- a lot of Numbers. In the long run, Numbers isn't that bad of a chapter to miss writing about. It's important, but, I mean, it says basically the same thing ;)

I'll see where I am. Where I need to be. And hopefully go from there. I haven't forgotten you all, nor have I forgotten this blog. I think my brain just took a vacation. I've been writing pretty much nonstop (ie every day) since June of 2011 on something or other...a blog post, a short story, a book. I'm still working on a book (2 actually) and I guess my brain's tired.

No excuse... I know.

I'll do better.

I do want to know what you've thought of the past 5 days (cringe) worth of readings. Anything that stuck out at you? Anything you want to talk about?

  2. Creative writing isn't something that runs on a schedule, at least not forever though a year and nine months is a long time. Let yourself have the time to collect your thoughts on subjects & to recharge. Works for me. After all the Lord knows he didn't make us to be publishing machines. He made you to be other things, a mom, a wife, an employee, homemaker, a coach, maybe a counselor to your kids, family, etc., and lots of other things. He especially doesn't want us using all of our energy and time in a way that would lead us to put Him out of our minds entirely. Rick Habecker
