Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Cor. 15:58

day 323: The Wind

John 3:8
Just as you can hear the wind but can't tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can't explain how people are born of the Spirit."

**************

Humans are fascinating creatures. We have to know the origins of things (hence why 'origin' movies like Wolverine do so well....). We want to know the very beginning and the very end-- and if we could understand everything in the middle, we'd appreciate that as well.

The thing is, there are somethings we can't understand. We don't 'exactly' know why the wind blows or where it comes from. You can't see it (only the results of it).

That's why some folks have a hard time religion-- somethings can't be explained (even Jesus said as much). Somethings you just have to believe it and take that as enough.

Like salvation-- when you try to explain it, it doesn't make a lot of sense. It's a feeling, something that happens inside, and it's hard to put into the exact words.

It's when you turn off your human mind (wondering how) and open your spiritual heart (and feel).

How do you describe 'being born in the Spirit' to people?

God Bless You,

Kelly
