day 346: It's Up to You

2 Samuel 23:2

"The Spirit of the Lord speaks through me;

his words are upon my tongue."

Did you know that you have an amazing responsibility in life? It's called 'Free Will' (ah, such a fun thing).

God gives you words to use to: tell others about Him, bless Him, encourage others, sing, speak, write, etc.

He puts these words in your mind, your heart, and your tongue--

But it's up to you to get them out.

Ever have something on the tip of your tongue, but you just don't say it (either you're afraid, scared, or don't want to sound like an idiot)?

God can't 'make' you do anything. He gives you the tools, puts you in situations, and know how you will react, but He doesn't make you do it. You have the choice.

Have a prayer request that just won't leave you alone at church? It's up to YOU to say the words at church.

Have a song/story that you know is from God? It's up to YOU to write it.

Have a song you want to sing at church? It's up to YOU to do it.

Have you ever been at the store and feel God telling you to tell someone about Him? It's up to YOU to do it. He's not going to make you a puppet and (as easy as it would be actually) make you do things for Him. Free will...

God gives you the desires and the opportunities. It's up to you to MOVE and do it.

Do you allow God to speak through you?
