Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Cor. 15:58

Day 55: Psalms

I'm doing something a bit differently today.  For our encouragement today, I would LOVE for you to post your favorite Psalm.  It can be the whole chapter or simply a verse.  I'm reading Psalms right now for the Bible in 90 Days program, and it's really making me smile. I've read most of it (sadly not all) before, but I keep getting more and more out of it.  When the Bible in 90 Days program is over, I have lots of chapters/books I want to go back over and study more.  Psalms is one of them.

So, lets encourage each other.  Take the time to leave a comment below with your favorite Psalm in it, please.  I'd love to find out which one really touches each of you.  :)

God Bless You!  Kelly

One of My Favorite Psalms:
Psalm 117:1-2 (Because it really encompasses what it means to praise, and has so much hope/joy in it)
Praise the Lord, all you nations
Praise Him, all you people of earth.
For he loves us with unfailing love;
the Lord's faithfullness endures forever.

Praise the Lord

  1. One of my favorite is Psalm 51. I love them all but this one stands out to me. Verse 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Love ya!

  2. I love Psalms, they're short (usually) and simple and deep at the same time, and I've sung tons of them :) One of my favorites is Psalms 24: 3-4. I've sung this several times and also memorized it in high school during my churches early morning scripture study. I have it marked in my scriptures with the notation of "clean hands and pure heart" and love that it speaks of those who shall come to live with god again (the aforementioned clean hands and pure hearts).

  4. Hi Kelly-- I have many favorite psalms. Psalms 25 I mediate on much. Should I quote some here?
To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul. my God, in you I trust;let me not be put to shame;let not my enemies exult over me....
Make me to know your ways, O LORD;teach me your paths.Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long...

Amen! Thank you Kelly for this daily encouragement.
    With Love in Christ,
    Tracy

  5. Thanks for sharing these. I think that everyone has certain Psalms that touch their hearts. There are several that I have marked in my Bible :)
