Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Cor. 15:58

day 294: Your Sins on the Cross

Galatians 5:24
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passion and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.

******************

It's hard to imagine nailing your sins to the cross. After all, Jesus did all of the work. He's the one who was tortured, hung up, and killed-- not us-- not really.

So, it's hard to imagine that the way to salvation is the do something so simple-- believe and ask Jesus into your heart.

It's magical and spiritual... and hard to understand especially if you haven't been to church all of your life (and sometimes if you have).

Jesus did all of that so we wouldn't have too-- so we could go to Heaven with him. When you ask for forgiveness, it's like those sins are nailed to the cross, no longer part of us.

So simple, but so powerful

God Bless You,

Kelly

  1. I was just reading something from Oswald Chamber's devotional that says that the reason why salvation is easy (for man) because it has cost God a lot. How true! Thanks for the reminder that God did it all & all I have to do is to accept & trust in Jesus, always. God bless!
