Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Cor. 15:58

day 287: Stop and Think

Matthew 7:12
Do to others what you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.

**************

You would think this verse would be simple: treat others the way you want to be treated.

But, it seems that it's really not as easy as it seems:

Lets take a look at it:

*If you don't want others talking about you, don't talk about them....

*If you don't want others to steal from you, don't steal from them.

*If you don't want others to gossip about you, don't gossip about them....

*If you are thinking about gossiping about someone, ask yourself if you'd like the roles reversed.....

*If you are thinking about stealing something from someone, ask yourself if you'd like the roles reversed.....

*If you are thinking about slandering someone else, ask yourself if you'd like the roles reversed.

TREAT EACH OTHER THE WAY YOU WANT TO BE TREATED..

NOT how they are treating you--- but how YOU want to be treated.

If someone is telling lies about you, pray about it, but don't give in to retaliation. It's not worth it.

God Bless You
~Kelly

  1. That is such great advice (but sadly enough, we humans very often fail at following it). You can add forgiveness into that one, as well. If you want God to forgive you of your sins, make sure you forgive others of theirs. Why should He forgive you if you're not willing to forgive someone else? Just a thought. Love the post :)

    Blessings to you, Kelly.
