Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Cor. 15:58

day 290: Who Would You Free?

John 18:38-40
"What is truth?" Pilate asked. Then he went out again to the people and told them, "He is not guilty of any crime. But you have a custom of asking me to release one prisoner each year at Passover. Would you like me to release this 'King of the Jews'?

But they shouted back, "No! Not this man. We want Barabbas! (Barabbas was a revolutionary.)

*****

Let's picture that Barabbas represents the world/worldly things.

And let's say that Jesus represents-- well-- Jesus/God.

The people were asked to chose: The World or Jesus.

They chose the World.

The 'world' has a lot to offer, a lot of 'fun', a lot of things that are great in the now. But nothing that will help you in the future.

Jesus is the only answer for a future in a paradise.

Picture you are in the crowd, standing before Pilate. Would you free Barabbas and go along with the world OR would you say Jesus, and be an outcast?

Which path (worldly/Godly) do you choose now?

God Bless You,

Kelly
