Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Cor. 15:58

day 114: Plans and Steps

Proverbs 16:9
We can make plans,
but the Lord determines our steps.

************************************

We all have plans.  I've talked a lot about plans on here (and the other blog).  Some plans we have are big-- some are small... and some are just... well... we don't see  them ever happening (I have some of those too lol).

The Lord is the one who determines if our plans turn out the way we think they will.  And like the verse in Isaiah, His thoughts are much more than our thoughts-- and His ways much more than ours.  When we don't think it will happen, God has other plans.

So, what am I trying to say?

God puts desires in our heart and sometimes the desires don't turn out the way *we* think they will.  But the desires get us to where we need to be.

And sometimes when we think we are going the way we going OURSELVES, we need to remember that it's God that is guiding our steps.  Even when we don't think He's in control-- He is.

God Bless You!

Kelly

  2. Hi Kelly, I think the more time we spend in the word and with the Lord, the more our desires change to become like His and then our plans change too. Great post, from one planner to another :)
    God bless

  3. Tracy, that's a good point. I believe that what we focus on is where our heart (and our mind and our plans) will lie. Lisa, yes ma'am :)
