Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Cor. 15:58

day 109: Savings

Luke 12:21
"...Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth, but not have a rich relationship with God."

******************

I have a savings account.

I like my savings account.

I put money in my savings account every month.....

I'm sure lots of people in the world have saving accounts or checking accounts or holes in the ground..... with money in them.  I've talked before about how I like having money "just in case" and that's ok.

As long as I'm not using "but I have to save" as an excuse not to help someone who needs it.

It's kinda funny how I am so careful with my bank account-- but when it comes to my 'heavenly' account, I'm kinda lax.

Now, don't get me wrong.  I do NOT believe that works will get you to Heaven-- but I do believe that works (in some form or fashion) helps bring others to God.  And I'm sure He appreciates that.

Works can be little things or they can be big things.  We can't force someone to accept Jesus.  But we can use our lives to show people how to come to Him.

That worth more than all the gold in Fort Knox. :)

God Bless You :)

  2. We should be more concerned with our heavenly savings account than our earthly savings account, but we often get it reversed. Great reminder, Kelly!
