Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Cor. 15:58

day 104: Do you know what you are believing?

Psalm 130:5
I am counting on the Lord,
yes I am counting on him.
I have put my hope in His word.
I long for the Lord
More than sentries long for dawn,
yes, more than sentries long for the dawn.

"I have put my hope in His word."

I'd like to talk about that for a bit.

Do you know what is actually in the Bible?

Have you read it cover to cover-- examined every passage-- know it forwards, backwards, and inbetween?

I have always heard people say that even if they have read the Bible 50 times they still get something new out of it-- and I can totally see it!

This Monday, I completed the "Bible in 90 days" program over at http://www.momstoolbox.com/  I read the Bible cover to cover in 78 days :)  I was excited (still am actually lol).  It was the first time I had actually read it---- and I have been saved since I was 10 (or 11, I don't remember which actually).

I got so much out of reading the Bible even at that fast pace.  I can't wait to read it again actually so I can get more out of it.

The Bible is a living book-- meaning even though it was written thousands of years ago, it touches the reader in different ways each time it is read. The Holy Spirit speaks to you differently and you find a connection you didn't know about before.

We (yes, we because now I've finished the Bible I've talked myself into-- resting my eyes for awhile--- sigh.  Yeap, gotta get back on the horse lol) need to set aside a certain amount of time each day to spend reading the Bible--  and you can pray about it and get a time that fits your family. But you definitely  need to make the effort. I can tell a difference now that I've been "Resting my eyes."

If you'd like to share your Bible reading goals, I'd love to hear about it.  I need a new 'goal' until the next B90 session.

God Bless You!

Kelly
